2020 Fun Fly

2020 Annual Whirlybird Fun Fly Postponed

Antire Valley County Park, St, Louis Missouri, USA

Due to the pandemic concerns we have indefinately postponed the funfly. We will be looking at other options later in the year.

The St. Louis Whirlybirds R/C Helicopter Club would like to invite you to our 34th Annual R/C Helicopter Fun Fly is postponed. There will be three days of open flying all registered pilots are eligible for door prizes. It is a great opportunity to meet other pilots and exchange setup and flying tips. Whether you are a novice or expert, there is a great time planned for all.  Charging station provided for batteries via a generator.

In addition to the fun fly STL FPV Racers will be having an exhibition. Due to the flooding at Buder we will not be having a race.

Since this is an AMA sanctioned event, you must have a current AMA card to register and fly. The landing fee is $20.

Buder Flying Field is a public, AMA governed field. It is open during the daylight hours (8:00am to dusk) for helicopters and quads . If you arrive earlier in the week, you can fly at Antire as long as you honor the AMA and local flying rules. AMA is required to fly at Antire and at the Fun Fly.

Feel free to contact us (via phone, e-mail, or our Web page) to let us know you are coming. If you are coming in early and want to fly before the weekend, give us a call and one of the St. Louis Whirlybirds will be happy to be your host at Antire Park. Check out our Web page to see the pilots that are attending and for the latest Fun Fly information. Don’t wait… make your plans now. Hotel rooms sell out very quickly during the St. Louis summer. Shots from the 2019 Fun Fly

Even though we had to fly at an alternate site, we had a great crowd and had a good time at the Fun Fly. Helicopters, drones, combat planes and a paraglider. Lots of fun.
