May 31st, June 1st & 2nd 2019 Annual Whirlybird Fun Fly
Buder Park or Antire Park, St, Louis Missouri, USA
Do not miss this one! Mark your calendar May 31st, June 1st & 2nd 2019. Good weather has been ordered and a great time promised to all. Open flying the whole weekend. Hope to see you there!
Note 5/25/2019 Buder is currently flooded. We have arranged to fly at our alternate location if Buder isn’t dried out by the weekend. Antire is located 6 miles west off of highway 44, exit 269. Due to the potential change in venue, we will need to limit flying to helicopters and drones only, no fixed wings aircraft will be allowed. Check back later this week when we make the office determination where we will have the event.
The St. Louis Whirlybirds R/C Helicopter Club would like to invite you to our 34th Annual R/C Helicopter Fun Fly held on May 31st, June 1nd & 2rd 2019 at the Buder Park R/C Flying Field (or Antire). There will be three days of open flying all registered pilots are eligible for door prizes. It is a great opportunity to meet other pilots and exchange setup and flying tips. Whether you are a novice or expert, there is a great time planned for all. Charging station provided for batteries via a generator.
In addition to the fun fly STL FPV Racers will also be putting on a MultiGP Championship Qualifier drone race next to the flying field.
Since this is an AMA sanctioned event, you must have a current AMA card to register and fly. The landing fee is $20.
Buder Park R/C Flying Field is a public, AMA governed field. It is open during the daylight hours (8:00am to dusk) and is shared by planes, gliders, and helicopters (Buder park is closed to the public during the event). If you arrive earlier in the week, you can fly at Buder Park as long as you honor the AMA and local flying rules. AMA is required to fly at Buder Park and at the Fun Fly.
Feel free to contact us (via phone, e-mail, or our Web page) to let us know you are coming. If you are coming in early and want to fly before the weekend, give us a call and one of the St. Louis Whirlybirds will be happy to be your host at Buder Park. Check out our Web page to see the pilots that are attending and for the latest Fun Fly information. Don’t wait… make your plans now. Hotel rooms sell out very quickly during the St. Louis summer. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We hope to see you there! Don’t miss out on this spectacular event!
